Mr. Dyer has been a generator and developer of oil and gas projects since 1986 and is currently managing JED Permian LLC out of Denver, Colorado.

In 2016, Mr. Dyer became the Permian Basin Asset Manager for Bayswater Exploration & Development in Denver, Colorado which is a private equity backed oil and gas development company.   Mr. Dyer designed and implemented both a minerals acquisition strategy in the Delaware Basin and a 40,000-acre, grass roots leasing and development project in eastern Howard County, TX while at the Company for Bayswater.    Through a series of sales and mergers, the mineral portfolio is now part of the Viper Energy (VNOM) royalty portfolio.  The Howard county project remains a core operating asset at Bayswater and is currently producing 25,000 BOEPD.    Mr. Dyer retired from Bayswater in 2024.

Prior to his tenure at Bayswater, Mr. Dyer co-found Miller-Dyer & Co, LLC which was formed in 1999 as a project generation and asset management company, where Mr. Dyer developed and sold Permian Basin 3-D exploration project and was responsible for the discovery of two Devonian fields in the Midland Basin.

In 2003, Miller-Dyer became asset manager and operator of the Flat Rock Gas Field in southeastern Uinta Basin, Utah.  Mr. Dyer managed the exploration, development and production operations at Flat Rock which included the discovery of deep gas reserves identified through the integration of 3-D seismic, geologic and reservoir engineering data.  Over a 5-year period when Mr. Dyer managed the assets at Flat Rock, deep gas wells were discovered capable of producing at Calculated Absolute Open Flow (CAOF) rates of over 60 MMcfd.  Miller-Dyer successfully managed the divestiture of the assets through a Merrill-Lynch managed sales process in 2008.

Prior to the formation of Miller-Dyer, Mr. Dyer was the Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer for Inland Resources, Inc. of Denver, Colorado, and was primarily responsible for the design and implementation of Inland’s development program in the Monument Butte Field of the Uinta Basin, Utah.  During his 7-year tenure at Inland, Mr. Dyer developed and directed the execution of the Monument Butte, Green River sand “tight-oil” operations, where he oversaw the drilling and fracing of over 400 wells in the field.  The company recognized production growth from 65 BOPD to over 6000 BOPD during this time period.  The Monument Butte field continues to be managed largely under this same operating philosophy by the present owner.  The field is currently producing in excess of 28,000 BOPD and recognized as one of the top resources plays in North America.

Mr. Dyer graduated with a BA in Geology from Colorado State University in 1986.  He is member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologist, the Society of Exploration Geophysicists and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.  He is a licensed geologist in the State of Utah (#5547423-2250).
